Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16748 — the Prophet ﷺ forbade wearing gold.

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ لِبْسِ الذَّهَبِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing gold.
