Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16696 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Ali

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدٌ الْعِجْلُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَلِيٍّ: «أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Malik bin al-Huwayrith (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "Are you not pleased to hold the same rank in relation to me as Harun (peace be upon him) held in relation to Musa (peace be upon him)?"
