Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16689 — the Prophet ﷺ said to him

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ وَلِصَاحِبٍ لَهُ: «إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَأَذِّنَا ثُمَّ أَقِيمَا وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Malik bin al-Huwayrith (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him and a companion of his: "When the time of prayer comes, give the adhan, then the iqamah, and let the elder of you two lead the prayer."
