Yazid bin Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Malik bin Rabi'ah Abu Maryam (may Allah be pleased with him), that he was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Tree (the Pledge of Ridwan) and on the day when the sacrificial animals were held back before they reached their place. A man of the polytheists said: O Muhammad! What makes you bring these people in upon us when we dislike it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are better than you and your forefathers. They believe in Allah and the Last Day. By the One in whose hand is my soul, Allah is pleased with them."
