حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جُنْدُبَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ هَلْ كُنْتُمْ تُسَخِّرُونَ الْعَجَمَ؟ قَالَ: «كُنَّا نُسَخِّرُهمْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ إِلَى قَرْيَةٍ يَدُلُّونا عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ ثُمَّ نُخَلِّيهِمْ»
Abu Imran relates: I asked Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did you use to take forced labour from the non-Arabs?" He said: "We would press them into service from one village to the next; they would show us the way, and then we would let them go."
