حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: «أَسْلَمَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ زَوْجِهَا أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِسَنَةٍ، ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَ فَرَدَّهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنِكَاحٍ جَدِيدٍ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), accepted Islam a year before her husband Abu al-As bin al-Rabi'. Then he also accepted Islam, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned her to him with a new marriage contract.
