Abu al-Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) was owed a debt by a man. He came to his house to demand it, and the man said to his slave girl: "Say that he is not here." Abu al-Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) heard his voice and said: "Come out, I have heard your voice." He came out to him, and he asked: "What made you do this?" He said: "Hardship." He asked: "By Allah?" He said: "By Allah." He said: "Go, what you owed (of the debt) is yours. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Whoever gives respite to someone in hardship or forgives his debt will be in the shade of Allah, or the protection of Allah, on the Day of Resurrection.'"
