Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16262 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ غَالِبِ بْنِ نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ عَائِذٍ الطَّائِيِّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُعِيذُكَ بِاللهِ يَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ مِنْ أُمَرَاءٍ يَكُونُونَ بَعْدِي، فَمَنْ غَشِيَ أَبْوَابَهُمْ، وَصَدَّقَهُمْ فِي كَذِبِهِمْ، وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى جَوْرِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ، وَمَنْ غَشِيَ أَبْوَابَهُمْ أَوْ لَمْ يَغْشَهَا فَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى جَوْرِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ، وَسَيَرِدُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ»
: «يَا كَعْبُ الصَّلَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ تُطْفِيءُ الْخَطِيئَةَ كَمَا يُطْفِيءُ الْمَاءُ النَّارَ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ حَصِينَةٌ»
: «يَا كَعْبُ إِنَّهُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ، يَا كَعْبُ إِنَّهُ لَا يَرْبُو لَحْمٌ مِنْ سُحْتٍ إِلَّا كَانَتِ النَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ»
: «يَا كَعْبُ الصَّلَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ تُطْفِيءُ الْخَطِيئَةَ كَمَا يُطْفِيءُ الْمَاءُ النَّارَ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ حَصِينَةٌ»
: «يَا كَعْبُ إِنَّهُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ، يَا كَعْبُ إِنَّهُ لَا يَرْبُو لَحْمٌ مِنْ سُحْتٍ إِلَّا كَانَتِ النَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ»
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Ka'b bin Ujrah! I commend you to the protection of Allah from rulers who will come after me. Whoever frequents their doors, affirms them in their lies and helps them in their oppression, he is not of me and I am not of him. And whoever frequents their doors or does not, but does not affirm them in their lies and does not help them in their oppression, he is of me and I am of him, and he will soon come to me at the Pond (al-Hawd)."
"O Ka'b! Prayer is a proof, charity extinguishes sin just as water extinguishes fire, and fasting is a strong shield."
"O Ka'b! No flesh that has grown from unlawful earnings will enter Paradise. O Ka'b! Whatever flesh grows from unlawful earnings, the Fire is more deserving of it."
