حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَغَيْرِهِ، قَالَ: «فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ آمَنَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ، أَوْ سِتَّ عَشْرَةَ»
Qatadah narrates from al-Hasan (al-Basri) and others that the first to believe was Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was fifteen or sixteen years old.
