حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِصِيَامِ الْبِيضِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ وَأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ، وَيَقُولُ: «صَوْمُ الدَّهْرِ أَوْ كَهَيْئَةِ صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ» . هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وَهَمَ فِيهِ، وَالصَّوَابُ حَدِيثُ هَمَّامٍ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qatadah bin Milhan al-Qaysi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order us to fast the White Days, that is, the 13th, 14th and 15th, and he would say: "(This is) fasting the whole of time, or (he said:) it is like fasting the whole of time."
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This is how Shu'bah narrated it, through Anas, from Abd al-Malik bin al-Minhal, from his father; but he made an error in it. The correct narration is that of Hammam.
