حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، قَالُوا: ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَى عَلَى التُّجَّارِ وَهُمُ يُسَمَّوْنَ بِاسْمٍ غَيَّرَهُ قَالَ: «يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إِنَّكُمْ يَحْضُرُ بَيْعَكُمْ بِلَغْوٍ وَأَيْمَانٍ فَشُوبُوهَا بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ» . وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ حَجَّاجٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qays bin Abi Gharazah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by the traders, who at that time were called by a name which he (peace and blessings be upon him) changed, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O company of traders, idle talk and oaths get mixed into your buying and selling, so mix it with some charity."
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: These are the words of the narration of Hajjaj.
