Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15874 — the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever grows a grey

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي الصَّعْبَةِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ: فَإِنَّ رِجَالًا يَنْتِفُونَ الشَّيْبَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَنْتِفْ نُورَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever grows a grey hair in Islam, in the path of Allah, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection." At that a man said: "Some people pluck out their grey hairs." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes may pluck out his light."
