Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 158 — I asked Abu Ishaq: Are you older than

Shu'bah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Abu Ishaq: "Are you older than al-Sha'bi?" He said to me: "Al-Sha'bi is older than me by one or two years." He said: Abu Ishaq had seen Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and he used to describe him to us as having a large belly and being bald at the front of the head. Shu'bah said: Abu Ishaq was older than Abu al-Bakhtari, and Abu al-Bakhtari did not reach the time of Ali, nor did he see him.
