حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ وَرِدْفُهُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، فَجَالَتْ فِيهِ النَّاقَةُ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ يَدَيْهِ لَا يُجَاوِزُ رَأْسَهُ، فَلَمَّا أَفَاضَ سَارَ عَلَى هِينَتِهِ حَتَّى أَتَى جَمْعًا وَأَفَاضَ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ وَرِدْفُهُ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ»
Sayyiduna al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set off from Arafat with Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) riding behind him. The she-camel began moving about while he was standing at Arafat before setting off, raising both his hands, which did not go above his head. When he set off, he travelled at an easy pace until he reached Muzdalifah; and when setting off from Arafah, al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was riding behind him.
