حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْحَنَّاطُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَسَدِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ سَعْدٍ الْعَبْسِيِّ، عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنِّي لَا أَخْشَى عَلَى قُرَيْشٍ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهَا» قُلْتُ: وَمَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ: «أَشِحَّةٌ بَجَرَةٌ، إِنْ طَالَ بِكَ عُمْرٌ رَأَيْتَهُمْ أَشِحَّةً بَجَرَةَ النَّاسِ، حَتَّى تَرَى النَّاسَ بَيْنَهُمْ كَالْغَنَمِ بَيْنَ الْحَوْضَيْنِ، مَرَّةً إِلَى هَذَا وَمَرَّةً هَذَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not fear anything for Quraysh except their own selves." I said: "What is that?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Extremely miserly and greedy. If you are granted a long life, you will see them miserly and greedy with people's wealth, until you see the people among them like sheep between two watering troughs, sometimes going to this one and sometimes to that one."
