ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ الْأَزْرَقُ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، وَأَيُّمَا حِلْفٍ كَانَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَإِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ، إِلَّا شِدَّةً»
Nafi' bin Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no (new) alliance (hilf) in Islam, and whatever alliance was made in the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic era), Islam has only made it stronger."
