حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الشِّيرَازِيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ نُصَيْرٍ، ثنا هِشَامُ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «خَيْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ الْقَرْنُ الَّذِي بُعِثْتُ فِيهِمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَنْشَأُ أَقْوَامٌ يَنْذُرُونَ وَلَا يُوفُونَ، وَيَحْلِفُونَ وَلَا يُسْتَحْلَفُونَ، وَيَفْشُو فِيهِمُ السِّمَنُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of my Ummah are the generation among whom I was sent, then those who come after them; then there will arise peoples who will make vows but not fulfil them, who will swear oaths though they are not asked to swear, and obesity will become widespread among them."
