Hujayr bin al-Rabi from Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15584 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا أَبُو نَعَامَةَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَدَوِيُّ، أنا حُجَيْرُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «الْحَيَاءُ خَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ» فَقَالَ بُشَيْرُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ: مِنْهُ الضَّعْفُ، فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ: «يَا حُجَيْرٌ مَنْ هَذَا؟» قُلْتُ: هَذَا رَجُلٌ مِنَّا لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ، قَالَ: «يَسْمَعُنِي أُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَقُولُ مِنْهُ ضَعْفٌ، وَمِنْهُ الْوَقَارُ لِلَّهِ، وَاللهِ لَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ حَدِيثًا الْيَوْمَ»
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Modesty (haya) is entirely good." Bushayr bin Ka'b said: "Some of it is weakness." Sayyiduna Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Hujayr, who is this?" (Hujayr said:) I said: "He is a man from among us; there is nothing wrong with him." He said: "He hears me narrating from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he says that some of it is weakness and some of it is dignity for the sake of Allah! By Allah, I will not narrate any hadith to you today."
