حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا يُونُسُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيُّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ» فَقَامَ فَصَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَهُ، فَإِنِّي لَفِي الصَّفِّ الثَّانِي فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your brother al-Najashi has died, so offer the funeral prayer for him." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) stood and we prayed behind him (peace and blessings be upon him), and I was in the second row; he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer over him.
