حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عَائِشَةَ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: «تَمَتَّعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا عَنْهَا، وَلَمْ يُنْزِلِ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيهَا شَيْئًا»
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We performed tamattu' in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not forbid us from it, nor did Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, reveal anything about it.
