حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ، ثنا أَبُو فَرْوَةَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حُدَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلْهَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: جَمَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، لَا أُغْنِي عَنْكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا، يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، إِنَّ أَوْلِيَائِي مِنْكُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ، يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ، يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ لَا أَلْفِيَنَّكُمْ تَأْتُونَ بِالدُّنْيَا تَحْمِلُونَهَا عَلَى ظُهُورِكُمْ، وَتَأْتُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ تَحْمِلُونَهَا»
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered Banu Hashim and said to them: "O Banu Hashim, I cannot avail you anything against Allah. O Banu Hashim, my true allies among you are the God-fearing. O Banu Hashim, protect yourselves from the Fire, even if with half a date. O Banu Hashim, let me not find you coming carrying the world on your backs, and coming carrying the Hereafter as well."
