حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَكَّامٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرِّشْكِ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ فَقِيلَ: أَعُرِفَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: فَفِيمَ يَعْمَلُ الْعَامِلُونَ؟ قَالَ: «كُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ لِمَا خُلِقَ لَهُ أَوْ لِمَا يُسِّرَ لَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Have the people of Paradise been known from the people of Hell?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." It was asked: "Then for what do those who act, act?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everyone acts for that for which he was created, or for that which has been made easy for him."
