حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا عَمِّي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ: «أَصُمْتَ سُرَرَ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ؟» قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: «فَإِذَا أَفْطَرْتَ فَصُمْ مَكَانَهُ يَوْمَيْنِ» فَسَأَلْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ عَمَّنْ يُحَدِّثُ هَذَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ؟ فَقَالَ: عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
It is narrated from Abu al-Ala' (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a man: "Did you fast the last days of this month?" He said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you stop fasting, fast two days in its place." (Sulayman al-Taymi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:) I asked a man from the family of Abu al-Ala' from whom Abu al-Ala' narrates this. He said: From Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
