حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى أَبُو يَعْلَى الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا غَسَّانُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ أَوْ لِغَيْرِهِ: «أَصُمْتَ سِرَارَ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ؟» قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: «إِذَا أَفْطَرَ النَّاسُ أَوْ أَفْطَرْتَ فَصُمْ يَوْمَيْنِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, or to someone else: "Did you fast the last days of this month?" He said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the people stop fasting - or when you stop fasting - fast two days."
