حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُقْبِلٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «عُودُوا الْمَرِيضَ، وَاتَّبِعُوا الْجَنَائِزَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Visit the sick, and follow the funerals."
