حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ عُطَارِدِ بْنِ حَاجِبٍ، أَنَّهُ أَهْدَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَوْبَ دِيبَاجٍ كَسَاهُ إِيَّاهُ كِسْرَى، فَدَخَلَ أَصْحَابُهُ فَقَالُوا: أَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ؟ قَالَ: «وَمَا تَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ ذَا؟ الْمِنْدِيلُ مِنْ مَنَادِيلَ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَذَا» ثُمَّ قَالَ: " يَا غُلَامُ، اذْهَبْ بِهِ إِلَى أَبِي جَهْمِ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ، وَقُلْ لَهُ: يَبْعَثُ إِلَيَّ بِالْخَمِيصَةِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Utarid bin Hajib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a garment of silk brocade that Khosrau had clothed him with. His (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions came in and said: Was this sent down to you from the sky? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why are you amazed at this? One of the handkerchiefs of Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) in Paradise is better than this." Then he said: "O boy, take this to Abu Jahm bin Hudhayfah and tell him to send me the khamisah (a woollen cloak)."
