حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: تَزَوَّجْتُ بِنْتَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ التَّيْمِيِّ فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ صَبِيحَةَ مِلْكِهَا جَاءَتْ مَوْلَاةٌ لِأَهْلِي بِمَكَّةَ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا، فَرَكِبْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بالمدينَةِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ وَقُلْتُ: لَقَدْ سَأَلْتُ أَهْلَ الْجَارِيَةِ فَأَنْكَرُوا، قَالَ: «كَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ» قَالَ: فَفَارَقْتُهَا وَنَكَحْتُ غَيْرَهَا
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I married the daughter of Abu Ihab al-Taymi. On the morning after the marriage, a freed slave woman of my family in Makkah came and said: I breastfed both of you. So I rode to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who was in Madinah at the time. I mentioned it to him and said: I asked the girl's family and they denied it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How can it be, when it has already been said?" Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: So I separated from her and married someone else.
