Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1491 — the Prophet ﷺ said regarding the captives

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأُسَارَى بَدْرٍ: «لَوْ كَانَ الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَيًّا، فَكَلَّمَنِي فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّتْنَى لَتَرَكْتُهُمْ لَهُ»
Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the captives of Badr: "If al-Mut'im bin Adi were alive and spoke to me about these foul people, I would have let them go for his sake."
