حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ ملولٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ مِشْرَحِ بْنِ هَاعَانَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَوْ كَانَ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ لَكَانَ عُمَرَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there were to be a prophet after me, it would have been Umar."
