حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ الْعُمَانِيُّ، ثنا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الرَّبْعِيِّ الْمِصْرِيِّ، ثنا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، أَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: " أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ الْعِشَاءَ، أَوِ الْمَغْرِبَ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ، وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ، وَقَدْ خَرَجَ صَوْتُهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ {إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ مَا لَهُ مِنْ دَافِعٍ} [الطور: ٨] فَكَأَنَّمَا صُدِعَ عَنْ قَلْبِي "
Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was leading his Companions in the Isha or Maghrib prayer. I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him); he (peace and blessings be upon him) was reciting, and his (peace and blessings be upon him) voice was carrying out of the mosque: "Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will surely occur; there is none to avert it" [Surah al-Tur: 8], and it was as though (a veil) was torn away from my heart.
