حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، عَنْ قَبَاثٍ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، وَمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَا: ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي قَبَاثُ بْنُ رَزِينٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَتَدَارَسُ الْقُرْآنَ فَقَالَ: «تَعَلَّمُوا كِتَابَ اللهِ وَأَفْشُوهُ وَتَغَنَّوْا بِهِ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَصِّيًا مِنَ الْمَخَاضِ فِي الْعُقُلِ»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out while we were studying the Qur'an together. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Learn the Book of Allah, spread it, and recite it in a beautiful voice. By the One in whose Hand is my soul, it escapes from the breasts even faster than tethered pregnant she-camels break loose from their ropes."
