Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14863 — a man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَحَدُنَا يُذْنِبُ؟ قَالَ: «يُكْتَبُ عَلَيْهِ» ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرُ مِنْهُ وَيَتُوبُ؟ قَالَ: «يُغْفَرُ لَهُ وَيُثَابُ عَلَيْهِ، وَلَا يَمَلُّ اللهُ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! One of us commits a sin? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is recorded against him." He then said: Then he seeks forgiveness for it and repents? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is forgiven and rewarded for it, and Allah does not grow weary (of forgiving) until you grow weary (of seeking forgiveness)."
