Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14844 — a boy said to the Prophet ﷺ: My mother
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَبِيبٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ غُلَامًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: تَرَكَتْ أُمِّي حُلِيًّا أَفَأَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ عَنْهَا؟ قَالَ: «أَمَرَتْكَ بِذَاكَ؟» قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: «فَاحْبِسْهُ عَلَيْكَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a boy said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): My mother has left some jewellery; shall I give it in charity on her behalf? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did she instruct you to do that?" He said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then keep it for yourself."
