It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer over the martyrs of Uhud, then returned and sat on the pulpit, praised Allah and extolled Him, and then said: "O people! I will go ahead of you to the Pool, and I am a witness over you. By Allah, I am looking at my Pool while I am in this very place of mine, and its breadth is like the distance between al-Juhfah and Aylah. By Allah, I do not fear for you that you will associate partners with Allah after me; rather, I have been given the keys of the treasures of the world and the treasures of the earth, and I only fear for you that you will compete with one another in pursuit of them." After that he (peace and blessings be upon him) went inside, and he did not come out of his house again until Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, took his soul.
