Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day I met the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I took the initiative and took hold of his hand, or he (peace and blessings be upon him) took the initiative and took hold of my hand. Then he said: "O Uqbah, shall I not tell you the best manners of the people of this world and the people of the Hereafter? Join ties with the one who cuts you off, give to the one who deprives you, and forgive the one who wrongs you. Whoever wishes that his provision be expanded and his life be lengthened, let him fear Allah and maintain the ties of kinship."
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: These are the words of Ibn Abi Maryam's narration.
