Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14747 — the Prophet ﷺ became thirsty near
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَيَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَمَانٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: عَطِشَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ فَاسْتَقَى، فَأُتِيَ بِنَبِيذِ السِّقَايَةِ، فَقَرَّبَ إِلَى فِيهِ فَقَطَّبَ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَحَرَامٌ هُوَ؟ قَالَ: «لَا»
Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became thirsty near the Ka'bah and asked for a drink. He (peace and blessings be upon him) was brought nabidh from the Siqayah (the pilgrims' drinking supply). He (peace and blessings be upon him) brought it close to his mouth and frowned. A man asked: "Is it unlawful?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No."
