Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14612 — When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded

Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded charity, one of us would have nothing to give in charity until he went to the market and carried loads on his back (as a labourer), then he would bring the charity and give it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And today I know a man who has a hundred thousand (dirhams), while on that day he did not have even a single dirham.
