Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14554 — A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

Sayyiduna Ismah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whose eye had been gouged out. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Who struck you?" He said: The one-eyed man of such-and-such tribe. He (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for him, and when he came he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Did you gouge out this man's eye?" He said: Yes. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ruled that he must pay the blood money (diyah) and said: "His (the one-eyed man's) eye will not be gouged out, so that you would leave him completely blind."
