حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «قَدِمَ وَفْدٌ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَضَرَبَ لَهُمْ قُبَّةً فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمُوا صَامُوا مَعَهُ»
Sayyiduna Atiyyah bin Sufyan al-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A delegation of Thaqif came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in Ramadan, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) had a tent pitched for them in the mosque. When they became Muslims, they fasted with him (peace and blessings be upon him).
