Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14442 — from his grandfather, Sayyiduna Arfajah

Abd al-Rahman bin Tarafah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his grandfather, Sayyiduna Arfajah bin As'ad (may Allah be pleased with him), that his nose was cut off on the day of the Battle of al-Kulab in the Jahiliyyah, so he had a nose made of silver, but it began to give off a foul smell, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to have a nose made of gold.
