حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ، قَالَا: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَسْمَعُكَ تَذْكُرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً لَا أعْلَمُ أَكْثَرَ شَوْكًا مِنْهَا - يَعْنِي الطَّلْحَ - فَقَالَ: «التَّيْسُ المَلْبُودُ - يَعْنِي الْخَصِيَّ - فِيهَا سَبْعُونَ لَوْنًا مِنَ الطَّعَامِ لَا يُشْبِهُ لَوْنٌ آخَرَ»
Sayyiduna Utbah bin Abd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a bedouin came and said: O Messenger of Allah, I hear you mentioning a tree in Paradise, and I know of no tree with more thorns than it, meaning the talh (acacia) tree. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(In it there will be fruits like) male goats with thick, matted wool, that is, castrated goats; in it there will be seventy kinds of food, no kind resembling another."
