Umayr bin Abi Waqqas al-Zuhri (may Allah be pleased with him), brother of Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), one of the earliest Emigrants, martyred on the day of Badr
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14186 — From Quraysh, then from Banu Zuhrah
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنِ اسْتُشْهِدَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ عُمَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ
Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him), in naming the Muslims who were martyred on the day of Badr, said: From Quraysh, then from Banu Zuhrah: Umayr bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) (was martyred).
