Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14116 — I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثَنَا عَزْرَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عِلْبَاءَ بْنِ أَحْمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «ادْنُ فَامْسَحْ ظَهْرِي» فَدَنَوْتُ فَمَسَحْتُ ظَهْرَهُ وَوُضَعْتُ خَاتَمَ النُّبُوَّةِ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيَّ، قُلْتُ: وَمَا خَاتَمُ النُّبُوَّةِ؟ قَالَ: «شَعَرٌ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ»
It is narrated from Abu Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Come close and pass your hand over my back." So I came close and passed my hand over his back, and the Seal of Prophethood came between my two fingers. (The narrator) asked: What was the Seal of Prophethood? He said: It was hair (forming a mark) between the two shoulders of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
