ثوبان مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " من غرائب مسند ثوبان رضي الله عنه يكنى أبا عبد الله ويقال: هو من اليمن، من حمير مولى آل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ويقال أصابه سبي فاشتراه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فأعتقه كان يسكن حمص، مات سنة أربع
Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), client of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (among the rare reports of the Musnad of Thawban); his kunyah was Abu Abdullah; it is said he was from Himyar in Yemen, a client of the family of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and it is said he was taken captive and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) bought him and freed him; he lived in Hims and died in the year 54

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، ثنا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يُقْبِلُ الْجَبَّارُ تَعَالَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، فَيَثْنِي رِجْلَهُ عَلَى الْجِسْرِ، فَيَقُولُ: وَعِزَّتِي، وَجَلَالِي لَا يُجَاوِزُنِي ظَالِمٌ، فَيَنْصِفُ الْخَلْقَ بَعْضَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ، حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيَنْصِفُ الشَّاةَ الْجَمَّاءَ، مِنَ الْعَضْبَاءِ بِنَطْحَةٍ نَطَحَها "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the Compeller (al-Jabbar), the Exalted, will come forward and fold His leg upon the Bridge (al-Sirat), then He will say: By My might and My majesty, no wrongdoer shall pass beyond Me. Then He will settle the dues of the creation from one another, until He will even settle the due of the hornless sheep from the horned one for a butt with which it butted it."
