Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14022 — I asked Ata' (may Allah have mercy on)

ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ، خَرَصَهُمْ هَذَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَخْبَرَنِي عَنِ ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ: أَنَّهُ خَرَصَ بَيْنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبَيْنَ الْيَهُودِ، فَقَالُوا: إِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَلَنَا، وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ، قَالُوا: بِهَذَا قَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ
Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I asked Ata' (may Allah have mercy on him): "Was this estimation made in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He informed me about Sayyiduna Ibn Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him), that he made the estimate between the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Jews and said: "If you wish, it will be ours, and if you wish, it will be yours." They (the Jews) said: "By this (justice) the heavens and the earth stand."
