Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unays (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying, and I stood on his left, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of me and made me stand on his right. I had on a torn garment that did not cover me, so whenever I prostrated I held (the garment) with my hand, for fear that my private parts would be exposed, while there were women behind me. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he called for a garment for me and clothed me with it, and said: "Take good care of it; (may you live so long that) it wears out."
This Abu al-Hasan, from whom Sulayman bin Kathir narrated, is Muhajir, and the Abu al-Hasan from whom Shu'bah narrated is a Kufan. And Abdullah bin Abd al-Rahman refers to Abdullah bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla, the brother of Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla.
