Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13709 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out for Badr with three hundred and fifteen men, the same number as the companions of Talut (Saul). When they came out, he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that they were on foot, barefoot and unclothed, so he said: "O Allah, they are hungry, so feed them to their fill; they are on foot, so give them mounts; they are unclothed, so clothe them." So they returned from Badr with every one of them holding the halter of one or two camels, and they had been provided with clothing and food.
