حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، يَرْفَعْهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّكُمْ سَتَظْهَرُونَ عَلَى الْأَعَاجِمِ، فَتَتَّخِذُونَ بُيُوتًا تُدَعَى الْحَمَّامَاتِ، وَلَا يَدْخُلُهَا الرَّجُلُ إِلَّا بِإِزَارِ - أَوْ قَالَ بِمِئْزَرٍ -، وَلَا تَدْخُلْهَا النِّسَاءُ إِلَّا نُفَسَاءَ أَوْ مِنْ مَرَضٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) in marfu' form (attributed to the Prophet) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon you will prevail over the non-Arabs, and you will build houses which will be called hammams (bathhouses). A man should not enter them without a waist-wrapper, and women should not enter them except one in postnatal bleeding or because of some illness."
