Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13636 — a man said: O Messenger of Allah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, the mu'adhdhins (callers to prayer) surpass us in virtue. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You too say what the mu'adhdhin says; then when you have finished, ask (Allah), and you will be given."
