Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13625 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Envy

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Envy (ghibtah) is only permissible regarding two men: a man to whom Allah gave the Qur'an and he remained devoted to it, regarding its lawful as lawful and its unlawful as unlawful; and a man to whom Allah gave wealth and he used it to maintain ties with his relatives and kin, and acted upon the command of Allah."
